The House That Built Me
Просмотров 2223 года назад
Proud to be the youngest of Aldo and Mary Paradiso, and brother to Peter (oldest) and Mark. I was raised in five homes in four cities. This video, made from 8 mm films, chronicles three of those homes, two in Midland, Michigan, and one in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. They were the dwellings where I was most impacted by family and life. "The House That Built Me", performed by Teddy Swims, written by ...

Hurricane Camille Aftermath in Mississippi, 1969

August 17, 1969, Hurricane Camille made landfall in Bay St. Louis MS as a category 5 storm close to midnight. In the days that followed, our family went to Fort Walton Beach FL for vacation. On the way back, my Dad shot this footage. Note the boat washed ashore and renamed for the monster storm.
Mr. MacGregor, Paradiso Family Scottish Terrior
Просмотров 423 года назад
MacGregor was our second family dog. He lived to be 13 years old, starting in Baton Rouge, then on to Gales Ferry Connecticut, Magnolia Arkansas, and Midland Michigan. He was a great dog, best known as Mr. Magoo. In this film at the 2:59 mark and again at 4:26, you'll see my Mom and my Grandma Gert Toland. When my Mom was a child, they had a Scottie named Sandy. One night their home caught fire...
Paradiso's German Shepherd Pup Nikki Pre Baton Rouge K9 Corps Circa 1969
Просмотров 233 года назад
In likely late 1968, our family got our first puppy, a German Shepherd we named Nikki. He was my brother Mark's best friend. Nikki was a highly-spirited pup who liked to break his chain and visit the St. Thomas Moore church and school. They would call, we'd go get him. Once the mailman even caught him and brought him home. As he neared a year of age, it was determined he was too much for us, so...

Shot on iPhone 6 "Riding Along In My Automobile"
I don’t know if anyone that plays guitar might recognize the freaking amps and guitars he’s using. I noticed he played classic examples of Gubsons and fenders and the top of the line amplifiers . Busload of faith to get by is a song I p daily.
Plagio de EXTREMODURO!!!!
Awesome track, love it👍🏻
I thank God I got to walk the Earth the same time as Lou Reed.
Lou oh how I miss u There was know one like u
Steve Paradiso, do you have Lou's Future Farmers of America from Sessions on West 54th?
Thanks Steve Paradiso for Posting ❤
Love ya Lou ❤
Anyone know where the riptide version from this set is? Disappeared from internet. Easily best song here and Lou plays this wacked out solo.
Thank you for recording and sharing this. The back of our heads are in the vid. We sat in the first row at this show. It's a very memorable show. RIP Lou🖤
Fame at last!

The rhythm section was so Tight. R.I.P. to this legend.
I love you Lou... Thanks for so many beautiful songs.
Lou's later concerts were awesome. He was totally with it
4:10 onwards is plagiarized from the song Extremoduro - Sol de Invierno (1992)
Great song Lou
That is fantastic. I like the guitar. Missed now.
As I lose all my regrets. Thanks, Lou, miss you.
My favorite Lou Reed song. I knew of this song from the "Pass Thru Fire" book of Lou Reed's lyrics before hearing the song. This song set me down a road of seeing Lou Reed 5 times between 2003 and 2006, being invited backstage by Lou Reed (another story) after the 2003 Wiltern show that was recorded for the Animal Serenade album, writing papers about Lou Reed at university, and just recently visiting New York to see the new Lou Reed exhibit. Lou Reed is my favorite writer and songwriter and no song or piece of writing compares to this for me. I wish I could explain why in a deeper, logical, and more academic way, but sometimes it's just a feeling...
I was at that show too! I got on the record screaming fuck Long Island. Best night of my life. 👍👍
Saudades
Great love lou reed
how it is POWERFUL
The last to minutes are a COPY of the song SOL DE INVIERNO of EXTREMODURO!Check it!
Lou Reed write this song 1996 and the song from the band Extremoduro Is from 1999
@@Chris.B.72 No man! It’s from 1992! Listen it, is a masterpiece
Yess
@@Chris.B.72nooo , sol de invierno 1992
The final part of the song bears a striking resemblance to the song "Sol de Invierno" by the musical group "Extremoduro" and is released in 1992. ruclips.net/video/LMMQqRaMNRw/видео.html&ab_channel=CAT%C3%81LOGOWARNEREXTREMODURO
Wow, love this....so under appreciated for his guitar work and who he influenced!
Is Lou playing a Travis Bean guitar?
I feel so blessed to have been young and growing up in NYC during the 70s and 80s where Lou Reed was, is and will always be the world's greatest rock-god-poet. The mold has been broken, never to be recast.
Is this fellow still around? I've been researching Camp Legion Willow Run for some time now.
Archie passed away in 2018 at the age of 100. He was a real pleasure to be able to interview: m.phillipsfuneral.com/obituaries/events?obituaryId=3311791
Stir it up...whoops, wrong song.
My favorite version of this song, just beautiful. I miss Lou.
Lou Reed the best
Ihan paska bändi!
i gave lou reed a book in 1989. true story. it was not a fantastic book. i never finished reading it & i am pretty sure he never did either.
No idea why, but that just had me howling with laughter. Thank you.
ufffff
Dios, Dios, Diiooooooooooosssssss!
Escucha el final de esta cancion la del video y despues oye sol de invierno de extremoduro, 1992 sol de invierno, 1996 la del video, encuentras algo curioso?
!!!!!!!
By far the best songwriter of the second half of the 20th century. Add the feeling for good simple rock music. Dylan is too complex. Bowie was too pretentious. Reed was good.
Spitze 👍Der Schlagzeuger Grandiose! 🎸🎵👍
Wow! Exactly the right thing at the right moment. This hit hard today.
As the drums beats he finds himself growing hard...

Awesome. I love this drummer.
One of my favorite Lou Reed songs and performances.
